Little Rascals 5-7: Ms. Lisa


Little Rascals is a beginning class for children ages 5-7 who want to have some fun singing, dancing and learning about performing. Each class will include games with music, rhythm and dance. Students will work on performance skills and enjoy their first showcase performance.

Acting for Musical Theater 12-18: Ms. Madisen It is so important for our actors in musical theater to tell a story. The dialogue is critical for the audience to follow the story along with the dancing and singing. This class will explore ways to use those moments of dialogue in any production to help with the integrity of the show. Come and explore the opportunity to use dialogue correctly, especially in musicals. Thursday 7:00-9:00

Musical Theater Dance 8-11: Ms. Kaylee Kaylee is a practiced alumni of CYT/ CTAP and she is a wonderful dancer. She also knows the importance of how good dancing can change the quality of any show. Whether you are a mover or a full-on dancer, every cast member is important when it comes to representing the theater production in which you are involved. Come dance with us and learn how exciting Musical Theater Dance can be as you learn and practice the techniques that make you feel more confident when your choreographer is teaching you the moves you need to replicate for a show. Call backs for dance are so much easier if you have a little more skill. Oh! Did I mention it’s fun!!! Tuesday 4:30-6:30

Jazz 12-18: Ms. Autumn Jazz is a combination of ballet, African dance, and modern dance. It focuses on sharp, precise movements and body isolations. It is a lot of fun! This class will help you strengthen your technique, flexibility, and musicality. Proper dance shoes will be required. Thursday 7:00-9:00

Improv Coming to Life 12-18: Ms. Brittny If you have taken two improv classes and you enjoy learning the skill, please sign up for this class. Learning the proper way to exhibit improv skills will help you in the future to be better game players. It can also help you with your acting in every other genre. If you like learning as you laugh, please join us. We would love to create a team that could compete with other improv teams. This class will be the beginning of that journey. Acting for Adults: Ms. Jennifer Ages 18-100 with Jennifer. What a joy it is to see some of our family members come and join this class. We are having so much fun, and everyone is welcome. From monologues to script reading to improvisational acting we are all trying our best. It is delightful to see how much talent we have in our families. The young actors have nothing on us. Your Time To Shine 10-14: Ms. Tracy This class is designed to help your child truly shine in their next audition and callback. By the end of the session, your child will know how to select their own audition songs and confidently prepare a one-minute performance. The Art of Singing for Musical Theater 13-18: Mr. Danny If you are feeling like your voice is strong, but sometimes you want more from your song, this is a great class. You will be learning a couple of pieces for showcase that will give you a more well-rounded idea of presentation and how to accomplish that on your own. Singing in a group where everyone is invested is the greatest feeling. The ensemble is what makes the musical theater program, whatever it is, really stand out. With each person working hard to accomplish the same goal and seeing it to fruition is very exciting. Tuesday 4:30-6:30

Middle School Madness 11-14: Ms. Jennifer This class is going to be an acting class that hopefully keeps these kids thinking and on their feet. They will be performing an eight-minute play that they will be memorizing and rehearsing throughout the session. Through our time together, we will be learning how and what it means to be an actor who thinks on their feet, shares each other’s space and knows how to learn and listen to their peers, as they are learning to command the stage. This age group is the next generation of performers who need to prepare for main stage productions. Let the curtain rise on all the fun. Tuesday 4:30-6:30

CTAP Newspaper 11-18: Ms. Brittny This class is going to be packed with loads of fun and is waiting for your ideas and creativity! We will spend our session putting together a newspaper with comics, interviews, stories, artwork, advertisements and MORE! This newspaper will go into CTAP’s yearbook and on the CTAP website! We are going to have such a great time and I can’t wait to hear everyone’s ideas and work together as a team to produce something fun for everyone! Tuesday 4:30-6:30

Advanced Acting 13-18: Mr. Jeff This is a course on advanced acting techniques! In this course, we will dive into the heart of acting by shifting our focus away from ourselves and onto our fellow actors through the Sanford Meisner technique, as well as the art of “endowed objects” and how to convincingly bring your props to life for an audience. Because we will be covering different techniques each session, you are more than welcome to take this class more than once, as you will build on skills already learned previously and learn new ones as well. These techniques will help you respond more naturally and authentically on stage. And of course…there will be Whoosh Ball. Thursday 4:30-6:30
