Spring 2025 Class: Tap for Teens 12-18

Tap for Teens: 12-18 Autumn McCall:

This class is designed to help those who have an interest in tap or need to brush up their skills for upcoming opportunities. We would love to have more rather than less tappers in some numbers for Mary Poppins. Autumn has such an outstanding teaching technique, and the class promises to be lots of fun. We would love to see those of you who have not taken a tap class sign up for the challenge. If you are an experienced tapper, there are many other classes that will offer growth that are available.

Improv Coming to Life 12-18: Ms. Brittny If you have taken two improv classes and you enjoy learning the skill, please sign up for this class. Learning the proper way to exhibit improv skills will help you in the future to be better game players. It can also help you with your acting in every other genre. If you like learning as you laugh, please join us. We would love to create a team that could compete with other improv teams. This class will be the beginning of that journey. Singing Harmonies: 8-12 Danny Lybeck: This class gives our young voices an opportunity to hear what harmony sounds like and sing with a group. The skill is invaluable, especially in ensemble work. To be the performer who can sing more than one part and hear the difference between parts as you learn them is such a gift. If you have taken a music class before, this can be an extension of what you have learned. Please come and be a part of this class, especially if you are interested in more vocal training. Thursday 4:30-6:30

Act Out Loud!: 10-15 Tracy Sharp and Josie Pruitt: This class is such a great place to practice your skill as an actor, as well as memorizing a monologue and putting your best foot forward in discovering how much fun characterization can be. You will learn how to make a character come alive so that you can show the audience a new side of you. It is so fun to have people get to experience your new creation for the stage and forget that it is you! Keeping your monologue as a part of your resumé for future experiences is a plus. Not trying to scramble for an acting piece makes your audition process so much less stressful. Your teachers will also have some great games to play as you explore what acting is all about. Tracy is excellent at choosing just the right material for each student so that you feel comfortable, and having Josie with you to help you hone your skills is a plus. So much fun!!!! The Reason We Sing (Choir): 12-18 Danny Lybeck: Delighted to offer this class! It is so important for you as performers to learn how to sing as an ensemble and harmonize as a group, rather than just one or two overshadowing the rest. It is so beautiful when we sing as one. It teaches professionalism and teamwork. Danny is an excellent teacher and is offering a skill we should all want to procure. If you have taken a “class like this” before, please know that vocal training is an ongoing process. From a bit of sight reading music to singing parts in harmony, we encourage you to be a part of the CTAP choir. Learning to sing in a group to create a beautiful sound and being introduced to some basic sightreading is just part of what makes this class magic! Sign up today!! Thursday 7:00-9:00
